Here are the lists of tweaks required:

1.Date Header Format

As you can see from above, you need to set your blog’s date header format to become “Mon XX, Year” (etc, Dec 8, 2008) to take advantage of the effect that the date seems to appear within the calendar icon. To change this, go to main tab ‘Settings’ and under the ‘Settings’ tab, click on secondary tab ‘Formatting’. Within ‘Formatting’, locate ‘Date Header Format’ entry and change the entry to “Mon XX, Year” format. See steps below:

Once you have change it, click on the 'Save Settings' to save your new settings.

2.Customize Menu Link

In order to insert your own links and have it appear on the horizontal menu, you need to be able to edit this template. Fear not, I will guide you through every step and make this as simple as possible for you.

Step3:

Under the 'Edit Template' heading, locate this code (Highlighted in blue. Click on the picture for larger view):

Then locate this line of codes (Highlighted in red):

Once you have found the codes highlighted in red, replace the green part with your own link (address together with http://) and the purple part with your own name:

To include more buttons, just copy the entire codes highlighted in red and paste them one after another like this:

Then as usual, just replace each of the green part with your own address link and the purple part with your choice of name for each button.
